Headquarters Farm
Historic Headquarters farm , circa 1763, with towering sycamore tree in the foreground, suggests a pastoral scene of timeless beauty and serenity. The scne is located on pineville Road nestled below Jericho Mountain. Originally called "The Keith Farm" after it's original owners.The Keiths were sympathetic to the revolution. when American troops were stationed along the banks of the Delaware River, the Keith family made their home available to General Washington. for ten days, from December 14, until December 24, 1776, Washington met his aides staying in nearby homes to plan his Christmas Eve. attack on the Hessians in Trenton. Legend recalls that counter spy John Honeyman, whose true colors were known to no one else but Washington, was imprisoned in the Keith springhouse. The Tories, as well as the Americans, believed him to be a spy for the British. Honeyman, it is believed was imprisoned in order to inform Washington of the Hessian's plan for a Christmas Eve celebration.

Bowman's Tower
Constructed in 1930 with a height of 110 feet, Bowman's Hill Tower marks the lookout site used by revolutionary war soldiers stationed at the Thompson Farm. From this vantage point, sentries kept watch for British troop movements along the Delaware River during the winter of 1776. The tower offers a panoramic view of the Delaware River and surrounding countryside.

Schofield Ford
Covered Bridge
The Schofield Ford Covered Bridge was originally built in 1873 by contractor George L. Mahon. In 1991, vandals set fire to this dearly loved landmark in rural Bucks County, Pa. The Schofield Ford Covered Bridgeis 117 years old and spans the Neshaminy Creek in Tyler State Park, Newtown, Pa. Local politicians and religious, community, and business leaders joined school children, 4-HRS and others to raise the nearly $350,000 for the project to restore the 170 foot long bridge. Every effort was made to make the new bridge as authentic as the original.

Bird in Hand
Rich In Revolutionary War history, Bird in Hand is listed on the Pa. Historical Register as one of the oldest frame houses in the state of Pennsylvania.
On February 9, 1778, sixteen American soldiers, guarding military uniforms being manufactured on the premises, were overpowered by a raiding party of forty Calverymen and infantry men. In the heroic , but hopeless defense of their post, five guards were killed by gunfire and four were wounded, others were taken prisoner.One of which was Major Francis Murray.

Lake Afton Library
Lake Afton Library is a scene of tranquil beauty. Built in 1878 and located on picturesque Lake Afton in Yardley,Pa., this building has graced the shore of Lake Afton for almost 100 years. "The Yardley Library" was built in the victorian style of wooden siding, originally with a door on the south side.
This was later changed and the door was placed on the west end, where it is today. The building served as a public library since its erection in 1878, becoming a free library in 1920. It is now the home of the Yardley Historic Association.Residents of the area meet at the Library to sit at the edge of the lake, relax and feed the ducks and geese who congregate on the lake. In winter the lake is transformed into a skating rink.

The Inn at Phillips Mill
The Inn at Phillips Mill is located in the hamlet of Phillips mill, just above New Hope on the Delaware River, at a very sharp corner. The Inn is across from the old Phillips Mill, now a cultural center that features a very prestigious New Hope art show every year (for the last 75 years) originally a stone barn, the building dates back to 1750. it was known as the Inn at Phillips Mill when purchased in 1972 by an architect and his wife, who undertook a major renovation of the property.

First Light
The Paxson Farm is located on Route 202 North, heading into Lahaska, Pa.
The artist truly captures the essence of beautiful Bucks County in his rendition of the barns and outbuildings. Thompson-Neely House
The Thompson-Neely house is nationally recognized as a fine example of early 17th century architecture. It was here that Lord Stirling as well as a 19 year old Lietenant James Monroe spent the winter of 1776. wounded in the battle of Trenton,James Monroe later became the 5th president of the United Staes. Thompson-Neely House was the site where George Washington planned the Battle of
Trenton.

Mc Conkey's Ferry Inn
The original Inn and Tavern constructed on the property of Samuel Mc Conkey and operated by James Brown, was built of local fieldstone. The west side of the Inn is believed to have beem erected in the mid 18th century. Taylor's descendants established the 19th century village of Taylorsville.
According to tradition, this is where Washington and his aides ate their Christmas dinner and conducted their final meeting before the journey across the Delaware River that stormy Christmas night of December 1776. That night, 2400 troops crossed the river to battle Hessian regiments and capture the city of Trentn. This was Washington's first victory in the Revolutionary War.

The Farmstead
The Buckman Farm is a well known and well loved farmstead in Newtowm. The barn is stone and frame, with a gable roof surmounted by a cupola. Located at the intersection of Sycamore Street and Swamp Road (presently the location of the new "La Stalla Restauramt") The Lovett Farm as it is more popularly known, stands as a reminder of Newtown's heritage as a farming community.The grouping of farm buildings is of immense value to Newtown, for it represents the last surviving agriculturally related structures located directly adjacent to the borough. The land on which these buildings are located were first settled by William Buckman in the early 1700's. This land remained in the possession of the Buckman family for nearly three centuries, the longest continuous ownership by one family in the history of Newtown.

Taylorsville
This lovely street scene captures just a few of the buildings that were part of the 19th century village of Taylorsville. The Taylorsville Store, an actual working general store and post office, once was a meeting place for townspeople in colonial times. Taylorsville store was owned and operated by Mahlon Taylor beginning C1828. He served as Taylorsville's postmaster for almost 40 years.

This scene is located on Route #532 South and Stoopville Road in the Village of Dolington. Exercising his artistic license, the artist enhanced the scene by coloring the barn red. Burges-Lippincott House
Historic Fallsington, a pre-revolutionary village is a treasure trove of history. From the 17th through the 19th century, Fallsington was significant as a religious, social and market center for the surrounding community, as well as a stop-over for stagecoach travelers.
The Burges-Lippincott house, a federal period house was the home of the village doctor in the 19th century. The stately stone house boasts one of the most beautiful doorways in Bucks County.

Hibbs House Summertime
The Hibbs House is a restored and furnished nineteenth century dwelling house, located on the grounds of the Washington Crossing Historical Park. It was built C1828-1830, as part of the original village of Taylorsville,(now known as Washington Crossing)The Hibbs House once served as a tenant house for various craftsmen, as well as a wheelrights house and shop. Today open hearth cooking demonstrations can be seen here at various times througho the year.

Thompson Memorial Church
The Thompson Memorial Church, formerly The Solebury Church, is located in an area rich in early american history. Built in 1811 and extensively renovated in 1875, the church is located south of the bourough of New Hope and just north of Bowman's Hill Tower. Those who founded the church were in some cases the descendants of those who assisted the Continental Army under General George Washington during the Revolutionary War. Rich in history, this stately and majestic colonial church has stood as a proud landmark of New Hopes past for almost 200 years.

Pennsbury Manor Barn
Pennsbury Manor was planned and built by William Penn statesman, diplomat, founder of Pennsylvania. He built Pennsbury Manor as his private estate in the colony he established in 1681. Penn preferred the quietness and open space of the country life, and found at Pennsbury a chance for meditation and relaxation. Penn lived in his country home during the time that he was planning the city of Philadelphia.
James Redding captured the painting of the Pennsbury Manor horse barn from a very unique perspective. it is late in the day and the sun is setting, producing an unusual sky. Because the light is beginning to fade the occupants of the barn have candles glowing as seen through the windows.

Fonthill
Fonthill is a celebration of one man's dream. Henry Mercer built his mansion entirely of hand mixed concrete. Fonthill has 44 rooms, 18 fireplaces, 32 stairwells, and more than 200 windows of varying size and shape. The interior walls, floors and ceilings are elaborately adorned with an incredible array of Mercer's original handcrafted tiles.
